1-minute read

Bonjour/Hello,

If you are reading this message then, firstly, welcome to Peyroulat’s blog. I am pleased that you are visiting us for travel tips about the Pau, Madiran and Marciac areas – and other useful info. on South-West France and French “stuff”.

I could have started this blog many years ago but didn’t feel I was qualified. Now, I have a lot of experience and knowledge – and am ready to share this information.

As well as raising visibility for an area that I am passionate about, we have worked very hard (often through adversity) to renovate an old maison de maître which was a ruin. We have now decided to share this experience with others.

Hopefully the blog will raise visibility in a more human way as I am offering direct bookings. It might be old-fashioned to try and build a rental service that is based around relationships rather than impersonal bookings. But I think there is a market for more authentic experiences – even in this era of “one-click vacations” – and convenience.

I launched this blog a month ago and am now getting more blog subscribers – which is fantastic. To those who have subscribed, I am so happy to have you onboard: bienvenue (welcome). 😊

Just one important thing to mention…

In the EU we have the GDPR (data protection) regulations and my email alerts are compliant++ with this rule. To do this, my provider automatically imposes a double confirmation that you wish to receive my blogs; otherwise, you won’t receive the posts.

Important: after you have done the initial sign up, please also look out for a confirmation email from me (which maybe in your junk folder). While you have already signed up, in order to receive the blogs you have to click on the confirmation link in this email.

This is becoming a more common process for UK and EU readers, but might be unfamiliar to our American, Canadian and Australian cousins.

As they say here, “c’est normal”. 🤷‍♀️

Have a great day (je vous souhaite une bonne journée).

Warm regards (Bien cordialement),

P.S. Get in touch with any questions you have.
