Welcome to Peyroulat
Peyroulat is an 18th century Maison de Maitre (master’s house) in South-West France near Pau. The lovely
dolls-house façade with its triangular roof is typical of local Vic-Bilh architecture. Peyroulat means “on stony ground” in Occitan/Bearnaise. The
oldest known part of the property dates back to 1711. The property is a permanently occupied family home. For a small part of the year (only up to 90 days) we now offer access to a part of the property. If you would like to enquire about how to come to stay with us, please get in touch.

Hello
We are an Anglo-Australian couple who have travelled and lived around the world. When we bought the property it was a ruin and we have worked very hard to restore it; some of this work is still ongoing. For a long time, our living accommodation was a tent in the house. Thankfully, canvas is no longer required. We are now pleased to rent a small part of our home to seasonal visitors for up to 90 days per year.
